Karina is an Associate at Valor’s Growth Equity team, responsible for sourcing deals, evaluating investment opportunities, and supporting portfolio companies. Prior to joining Valor, she spent 4 years in the LatAm Investment Banking team of J.P. Morgan, in the M&A division, both in the São Paulo and NYC office. During this time, she engaged in a wide range of projects across different sectors and LatAm countries. Prior experience also includes a 6-month trainee program at an Alternative Investment Fund Manager in Luxembourg and a summer internship at Citibank in São Paulo.
Karina has always been enthusiastic about the venture capital space, having been part of the FGV entrepreneurship league and undertaking a summer entrepreneurship course at Babson College.
Karina holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from FGV Business School. She also attended part of her undergraduate studies in Austin, at the University of Texas at Austin.
In her personal life, Karina is a food enthusiastic and enjoys traveling, painting, water sports and spending time with friends and family.
